Students at Ashland Community and Technical College this fall will see signs reminding them of a tobacco-free policy that went into effect August 1, 2011. The tobacco free, smoke free policy bans the use of all tobacco products, including cigarettes, cigars, chewing tobacco and snuff, on any campus property, inside and outside.
Buying organic makes sense for the health of the earth, farm workers and your family ... but if you're pinching pennies (and who isn't these days?), choose from The Daily Green's list of "The Clean 15: Foods You Don't Have to Buy Organic" to avoid the foods with the most pesticide residue.

The most commonly accepted definition of sustainable development is found in the 1987 United Nations’ Our Common Future: Report of the World Commission on Environment and Development (also known as the Brundtland Report):

Implementing sustainable practices demonstrates responsible stewardship of social, economic, and environmental resources. KCTCS sustainability focus is on being “Green+”.
